Monarchs of the World.

Royal Standard of Rheinbergen

"The more things change, the more they stay the same."-Is an old saying in the English language, which has its parallels in just about any language on the planet. What does this mean to us in Rheinbergen you ask?

Society regardless of where it was started at, has always needed strong leadership. At first it was a survival technique designed by nature to protect the group from outside forces. Later it was a collection of similar or like groups. Then it became clans and ethnicities and tribes, and even further on it became large swaths of physical territory that often turned into the nascent beginnings of countries.

History is replete with plenty of bad men. But for every bad example of governance, leadership and or moral bankruptcy there are dozens of examples of people being summoned by their times to step up and be counted.  Again what does this mean to you specifically?

We will answer a question with a question. Why are there still monarchs? Or maybe a better way of phrasing it would be, why is there still a need for a monarchy? It is out of a desire for good governance and strong leadership. As the world spins off into the uncertainty of a new millennium, it is the traditions of our past which keeps us anchored.

Our world is changing rapidly. It will continue to do so. Science and Technology have reached a critical mass where each is feeding into the other. Soon things like organ replacement through stem cell development will become commonplace or gene therapy to correct various diseases and cancers will have become perfected.

Space travel is again going to take us back to the moon and possibly beyond. We have entered into a maelstrom of uncertainty and change. Large multi-national corporations have evolved and are attempting to rule the world like a commodities stock market. As a result there is pushback. It is quiet but it is there. People desire good governance, and a continuity to their past. Swearing allegiance to the Krispy BonBon Company is not going to willingly happen nor is what people really desire.

The desire to provide a future for generations to come, is the driving force behind our Principality of Rheinbergen. It is a reasonable and attainable goal. Aside from the romance and glamour associated with living in a Principality, there are sound moral and forward looking reasons to consider such a life. Respect, Tolerance, Accountability, and the Opportunity to achieve a sustainable lifestyle. But these things will not happen without work and effort. So please consider supporting our nation. Join us.

For those who think a monarch or royalty system of governance is out of date or incompatible with democracy, here is a list of countries around the globe who have some form of Monarch or Ruler.
The table below is organized thusly:
