A message from the Fürst to all Rheinbergen citizens:
We are all gloomy in these dark times. Still we do not suffer like the people in refugee camps all over Europe and Asia. We are the fortunate ones and sharing is caring. In this world we share. We should be proud of our inheritance and background but with this pride compassion for those who were not born in our circumstances should come along.
Open your hearts, doors and minds for those fleeing wars, hunger and injustice. This is our world. We have to think beyond nations, religions and territories. This is about us. About being human. Your Prince calls upon you to embrace the change of times. To embrace different cultures. To embrace US... Humans!
I will not forget that poor drowned child on the beach. It could have been your child or mine. We, as a nation, have to stand up for all the suffering in this world. We have to arm ourselves and fight for the lost and hungry. To do any less is to kill our humanity within ourselves.
We will somehow have to support the lost and the lonely. It is our inherited duty. We will defend the weak!! They need us now. More than ever! Here is a place to start with your efforts: International Society of the Red Cross and Crescent Donations page.
